| MISSION BRIEF: Get around the racecourse as fast as possible. The SSR is competition based, and designed to give the competitor a technological edge. Double surfaced entry for increased laminar flow and reduced drag. A new 3-stage gradient batten configuration, consisting of 13mm pre-preg carbon tubes, 10mm glass tubes and a tapered front promotes a smoother, more stable profile. FORMULA 10.0 - 11.8 Devastating speed on the upwind legs, explosive acceleration off the start line, and deep, driving power downwind, the SSR Formula sizes use deep, powerful profiles below the boom and finer profiles above. This reduces the down-force on the board as sail size increases. Both the 10.0 and 11.0 use an 8 batten / 5 cam configuration, while the 11.8 has 9 battens / 5 cams. This extra batten in the 11.8 allows us to run even more shape below the boom. SPEED / SLALOM 5.6 - 8.6 The SSR speed and slalom sizes are tailored for optimum reaching and down wind performance. Shaping is more evenly distributed above and below the boom than on the Formula sizes to give positive drive through the board and fin, and reduced tail-walking tendencies. Sizes 5.6 - 8.6 are 8 battens / 4 cams. RIG ERGONOMICS Reduced back foot pressure allows the rider to transfer weight in gusts for instant acceleration bursts. Specifications
